Questions and answers
Common questions about nearby lecture schedules
What people most often ask about finding nearby lecture schedules through Jelajah Masjid.
How do I find the nearest lecture schedule to my location?
Open the map on this page and allow location access, type a city or place, or pick one of the major cities above the map. The map shows upcoming in-person lectures around you, along with the ustadz, schedule, and venue.
Does the map only show upcoming lectures?
Yes. The map only shows in-person lectures that have not started yet, ordered by distance from your search point.
Do online lectures appear on the map?
No. The map covers in-person lectures with a physical venue. You can browse online lectures on the Lectures page.
Whose name is shown next to a map marker?
It is the ustadz or speaker of the soonest lecture at that location. If the speaker is not recorded yet, the marker shows the mosque or venue name instead. When one location has several upcoming lectures, the marker also shows how many more there are.
Why do some lecture markers show an approximate location?
Some lectures are not linked to a mosque profile yet, so we estimate the location from the event description. Those markers are labelled "approximate location" — please double-check with the event source.
Can I see lectures in another city without sharing my location?
Yes. Type a city or place in the search box, or pick one of the major cities above the map. You can also pan the map anywhere — no GPS needed.
How do I switch to the mosque map instead of lectures?
Use the "Mosques" button at the top right of the map. It shows nearby mosques and prayer rooms along with distances and addresses.
A lecture I know of is missing from the map — what can I do?
We keep expanding our data from public sources. If a lecture is missing or wrong, use the "Report an update" button so we can add or correct it for the community.
